Must learn lean principles and apply to products and processes
Ensure mistake proofing is designed into product and processes
Ensure all processes produce quality by engineering quality into the process, not inspected in
Work through source council to obtain approval for sourcing projects
Collaborate with Global Purchasing to engage supplier and to purchase Engineering services and Development Components
Design, Detail, and Release engineering changes associated with CPI, Warranty Reduction, and Manufacturing Process improvements using DCC, and EDS
Lead cost reduction projects in design control
Defines the common implementation of application features across Machine and Commercial Engine Systems
Meet with internal business & operations stakeholders to identify integration gaps
Act as Product Owner along with driving technical vision for the team
Job Specifications
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of On Highway Truck development or manufacturing engineering experience
Relevant work experience required in product design and development, Teamcenter, and new product introduction (NPI/APQP)
BS Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent years of work experience
Working with Perforce or Git is highly desired
Skilled in working with RPMs - building, patching etc
Good understanding working with Make, Scons and Maven
